For weeks past, the ladies of the Keith Street Sewing Guild, under the presidency of Mrs. Geo. Coleman, have been industriously preparing for a sale of work in aid of the funds of the local sub-centre of the British Red Cross Society, and the results of their efforts—a splendid range of children's clothing—will be offered for sale in the new Red Cross Shop on the 19th inst. The Patriotic Red Cross Shop, next to the Bank of New South Wales, will be open on Wednesday next, a.]so on Friday. Donations will be welcomed.

The members of the Wanganui Ladies' Goif Club will be in charge of the Red Cross Shop on Wednesday next, when a fine stock will be offered for sale under the direction of Mrs A. B. Bibbons and Miss Armstrong. The shop will be open on Tuesday to receive contributions.

A concert is being arranged by Mrs. C. I. Spillane and pupils of til's New Zealand and British Red Cross for, Saturday, the 22n c ] inst., when there will be a musical treat for the patrons.
