CHRISTCHURCH. Aug. 30. The Metropolitan Trotting Club has decided to hold a three days' meeting in November, giving the same' stakemoney as last year (£10,000.) It was resolved that the New Zealand Trotting Cup of 2500 soys will be open only to horses that have records of 4. mm. 34 sees, or better, or have been handicapped to do that time. As matters now stand the only reduction of racing in next November will be its curtailment from seven days to six, as the result of the Canterbury Jockey Club taking a day off its fixture.
