BABY VOTING COMPETITION.
In another column is advertised the positions of the various candidates in the Baby Voting Competition. So far tho competition has been very successful. Voting closes at six o'clock on Saturday. The-committee will be in attendance at the Red Cross from 11 to 5 on Friday and from 10 a.m. on Saturday to receive money.
ENTERTAINMENT AT FORDELL
A great dance and entertainment is to ;be held at Fordell Town Hall, in aid of the candidature of the Picture Baby (No. 52). This promises to be a very successful affair.
SWANKERS' BABY.
A patriotic dance will be held in the druids' Hall to-night (Thursday) August 30th, in aid of the Swankers' Baby, and under the auspices of the Druids' Hall Dance Committee and the Wanganui Swankers' Club. Those desirous of a good evening's entertainment, and or assisting in furthering the funds of the Baby Competition (incidentally No. 5), The Swankers' Laddie, can be assured of a very pleasant evening on Thursday next.
