DIVIDED OPINIONS.
Received August 29, 7.30 p.m. LONDON, August 2S. Delegates from France, Russia Italy, Greece, Portugal, Belgium and South Africa were present at the Socialist Conference.
i Mr. Henderson, in his opening address, declared that momentous issues depended on the Conference's decisions.
vThe speeches of the French delegates indicated a wide difference on many important points, notably the Stockholm Conference. They declined representation on a commission wjiich the Conference appointed to deal with this subject. A commission was also appointed to deal generally with p ( eace terms.
