(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 16; Southerly winds have decreased 'n the north, and northerly winds now rule in the south. The weather has improv" ed generally to-day* Atmospheric pressure increased in the north, but little change is recorded in the south. Present indications are for variable winds moderate to strong northerlies prevailing shortly. Ej^pect fair to cloudy weather generally. The barometer has a tailing tendency.
