LONDON, Aug. 14. Sir Donglas Haig reports: We made raids north-east of Gouzeaucourt and ■eastward of Vermelles, and repulsed a raid northward of Roeux. The -enemy's artillery is active between Ypres and Lombaertzyde.
A French communique states: The artillery of both sides is active in Belgium. Our reconnaissance parties penetrated the German lines at different j.<oints north-west of Rheims.
