SWANKERS' CLUB.

. -~mtP~MONSTER GRAND BALL.

Everything points to the probability of the above ball being a huge success. No stone is being left unturned by the committee to make it so. The final arrangements are now well in hand, and given a fine night, a record attendance should fill the Drill Hall. If all is true that the decorating committee say they intend doing, their work alone should repay the cost of the tickets. The music, in the capable hands of the Queen Alexandra Band and Fuller's Orchestra, will be a treat to all patrons. The ladies' committee report splendid progress, and intend carrying out tiSeir duties in such a manner that past efforts will be easily overshadowed. The Floor Committee are emphatic in their avowal tnat the floor will be in a state of perfection on the night. As to dress, it is quite optional: people may please themselves whether they come in plain or evening dress. The money collected goes to the Nurses 3 War Relief Fund, a very worthy object that all should assist, and the Drill Hall should be filled to overflowing on the 24th inst. It will not be necessary to have a ticket for entrance, as there are only a limited number printed. A ticket office will be open on the night, and 'n the hands of an efficient* staff capable of handling the large number that are sure to respond to this open invitation.
