The New York Times' Washington correspondent has learned that the Allies will soon begin a series of conferences for the purpose of harmonising their plans and co-ordin-ating the efforts ol all fronts, also for securing more aggressive naval action.
LONDON, August 12
In the cricket match, Public Schools versus Hornchurch New Zealanders at Kennington Oval, the Schools scored 23.^ and the New Zealanders lost five wickets for 242.
In the match Australia versus India, at Lords ground, India scored 57 and Australia 105.
LONDON, August 12.
A White Paper has been issued containing Mr Barnes' summary of the reports of the Commissions on Industrial Unrest. Mr Barnes said the Commissions found a strong patriotic feeling amongst employers and employed throughout the country, and t&ey were determined to help the State in the present crisis. The revolutionary feeling was not entertained by the bulk of the men. On the contrary, they appreciate the national difficulties.
