LONDON, August 12.
The Times' Paris correspondent, says that events in London have bewildered and disappointed the French. Even the Socialists largely hoped that a strong British lead would result on their part to decide against the Stockholm Conference. The Socialists define their peace terms as including the evacuation, restoration and indemnification of invaded territories, and the consultation of the peoples in disputed territories (including Alsace-Lor-raine) anent their desires. All nations, neutrals and belligerents should participate in the peace conference, which should be a constituent assembly of a society of nations. The Socialists declared that peace cannot come until there has been a democratic revolution in Germany.
