Eeceived August 13th, 11.5 p.m. LONDON, August 13. ■Mr Beach Thomas says that Friday's fighting on the ridge east of Westhook included some of the most deadly thi>. year. The enemy counter-attacked seven times en a mile frontage. Tha German losses were as great as ever since tile days of the murderous massed attack.
