23 KILLED AND 50 INJURED.
(Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn. & Reuter.) Received August. 13, 9.30 p.m LONDON, August 12. The Press Bureau reports: The raiders caused considerable damage at Southend, where they dropped forty bombs. The casualties at present reported are eight men, nine women and six children killed and about fifty injured
Two men were injured at Rochtora.
An uninhabited house at Margate was demolished, but there were no casualties.
