RED CROSS RECITAL.
The recital gir^n by the Queen Alexandra Band in the 'Opera House last night was a great success. There was a large audience, which enthusiastically received all the. items. The vocal items by Miss Rona Kino, Madam Edmondson, and Mr and Mrs T. Sperring, we*e well received, each having contributed a double number. The instrumental trio by 4 Miss Curran, Messrs Buckley and Shepley, was exceptionally well treated. The Band items were rendered in their usual first-class manner, much attention being given to detail. Miss Curran and Mr Edgar Collins- made efficient accompanists, and contributed largely to the success, of the evening.
