HIS MAJESTY'S
THE LAST OF THKINGRAMS
A conflict between the narrow ideas of the descendants of the early Puiitans, and a' m.'in and woman seeking to live down past sins, is the theme of the "Last of -the Ingrains," the powerful Iriangle play to be screened at His Majesty's Theatre to-night. Marjory "Wilson is in a role of fine dr..misitic power, and invests her part with supreme pathos. William Desmond, as Jules Ingram, is effective, and in the later scenes, where he defends tlw heroine from an .attacking mob of hat<>crazed villagers, he is full of fiery strength an-1 energy. The photography of the picture is remarkable for some extraordinary scenes on a wild sea coast where Ingr?m is seen staggering ovor rocks with the weird and uncanny momers of his feverish brain. "Glorias Romance," 18th chapter, "The Bitter .truth," arrival of Sir Joseph Ward and the Hon. W\ F. Massey at Auckland, and the latest Pathe Gazette, are included in the programme.
