MEDAL COMPETITIONS.
The competitions for silver medals for proficiency in life-saving were held in the Corporation Baths on Friday and Saturday. Dr. Wall judged the method of resuscitation, and "Mr D. McFarlane tha work in the water, while Mr R.. King acted os starter, and Messrs G. Broadhead and R. Hollis as time-keep-ers. The boys' medals were won by J. T. Harding (senior) and L. McEwen
(junior), and the girls' medals by A. iJerrett (senior) and 11. Rankin and J. Pyle, a tie (junior). The following are the marks (possible marks, 60): — SENIOR BOYS. J. T. Harding (College) 52£ C. E.
