Mrs Gifford-Moore wishes to acknowledge the following gifts for New Zea:land sick and wounded:—Durie Kill Red Cross Guild (per Mrs Deem), 7 flannel coats, 15 su-its pyjamas 36 swabs, 72 gauze sponges, 33 handkerchiefs, 7 facecloths, $ hot water bottle covers 16 treasure bags, 4. cushions, 1 par slippers, books and old.linen; also 6s 6d from the Durie Hill School (half takings of Mr Tate's entertainment); Matarawa Red Cross Guild: 4 suits pyjamas, 36 swabs, 6 flannel coats, 6 pacrs socks, 4 chest protectors, 1 pair mittens, 1 clay shirt, 22 under vests, 1 helmet; Mrs Wood, facecloths, treasure bags, and old linen; Mrs McMillan, 14 many tail bandages, swabs and gauze pluggns; Miss Shirley, x pair towels; Mrs Hiunsell, 2s 6d; Mrs Johns, swabs; Mrs Russell, swabs; Mrs Mcßean, 1 pair socks, 7 pair miittens; Miss Craven,' 4 pair mittens ;Mr Coltman, books and papers; Durie Hill Sunday School 14s 6d; Mr Rowan, 10s; Miss Chamblain, ss; Friend, £5; (Friend/ 10s 6d. A large consignment' of goods are leavting this week, a complete list of which, with the value, will be advertised later. In the meantime, the work is going ahead in fine style, and even better results than previously are being achieved.
