Mr. L. H. King, of Wanganui, and late of Marlborougii, lias been appoints tfd organising secretary ot 'the AVaikato Sub-Provincial District of the NewZealand Farmers' Union. There were 65 applicants for the position. Mr. F. H. Morgan, who has resigned his appointment as chief sub-editor of th© N.Z. Times to take up a position on the head office staff of the Tress Association, was presented by the literary and mechanical staffs-of the paper with a gold watch as a farewell token of esteem arid good will.
