RIFLE SHOOTING.

RETURNED SO.UIERS' RIFLE CLUB FORMED.

At a meetmg of Returned Soldiew, held in the Returned Soldiers' Club Rooms last evening, it was decided, on the motion of Mr W. H. Gannan, to torm a Wanganu Returned Soldiers' Rifle Club. The chairman explained that the Club would be open to alt members of His Majesty's Forces who have served overseas in the great war. The following officers' were elected :— Presdent, Mr W, H. Carman; secretary, Mr C. H. Hellwell;.treasurer Mr J. w. Wlkes;- commttee, Messrs H. 0. Tocker, E. i..,Hylton, C. A. Romney, C. Booth, and F. E. Capon. During the evening Captain Coleman. O.C. Group 20, addressed the ! members, and sad that 218 entries had ' besn received for the "big shoot,'' ; which is to take place on the Putiki / Rifle Range on Thursday next, commencing at 9 a.m. Such a. number of entries had not been expected, and th* result was most satisfactory.
