Received 11-5 p.m. July 23. (Reuter.) CAIRO, July 23. Severe fighting occurred at Medina. The garrison attempted to sortie, but were driven back 'with 2500 casualties. Sher'f's son, Abdulla, beseiged Taif. Its fall is believed to be imminent.
