The enemy's "bombing attack on !the north edge of the Leipzig salient 'succeeded in entering our front Itrenches, but. they were immediately driven out. Our aeroplanes continued bombling important military points. The |«nemy aircraft was inactive until the evening. Then there was much fighting behind the German lines. : One of our offensive patrols enjcountered eleven German machines. 'Three were downed^ one being in flames. Another encounter lasted forty'flve minutes between four of our machines and six German. One of the former was "downed." Another yas damaged.
