FEILDING J. C. MEETING

CONCLUDING DAY

REWI POTO WINS THE EASTER

(By Our Special Reporter.)

The weather was fine for the concluding day of the fixture, but light rain fell before the Easter Handicap, although it .did not. develop into a downpour. The attendance was again good -.and the totalisator handled £26,819 forr the day compared with £26,290 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £53,667, last year's turnover being £55,932. Owing to a mistake, the dividends being calculated wrongly, the totalisator lost nearly £1000 over the Rewa Hack- Handicap, before the error was rectified. As Mr. Skipwith had to" attend the Avondale fixture, Mr. Angus Keith acted 'a-5 starter. Proceedings, were enlivened by the Feilding Brass Band, while the Ponsonby Boy Scouts' Drum and Fife Band played several selections. Detailed results were as follows:-— ■.-......
