PROGRESS OF RECRUITING.

In view of the fact that the departure of the Bth and 9th reinforcements is being expedited, the Hon. D. Buddo asked the Minister for Defence to-day if he did not think it would.stimulate recruiting to call up recruits as soon as they had been medically passed. Mr. Allen said that before the session ended he would make a statement on the whole position witli regard to recruiting.
