NEW ZEALAND PUBLIC SERVICE ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of the Wanganui section of the above Association was held on Friday evening last, at the Native Land Court, Wanganui. There was a very good attendance of "niem"beiv. The report presented by the .retiring committee shoved that the'\section had made satisfactory progress during the year. The accounts disclosed that £3 2s. was carried forward to tilt; new year. Deem, W. C. Hyde, and A. C. Philpott (Agriculture Department; J. P. Rutherford (Audit);

F. J. Walker and H. McArtney .(Customs) ; R. L. Johnston (Prisons) ; H. Lundius (Lands and Survey) ; A. E. Allison (Government Insurance) : F. A. NaJder (State Coal Mines); A. H. Mackay and J. Harvey (Native); 11. I). Nowtli (Public Trust) ; R. H. Reaney and .J. H. Cade (Public Works); D. Craig (Valuation); E. W. F. Gohns (Labour Department). Last year's committee was practically re-elected, with the exception that Mr. Nal.dev, hon. secretary, declined re-nomination "owing to pressure of other duties. Mr. F. W. Hart was' unanimously elected secretary and treasurer. The retiring secretary was accorded a special vote of thanks for his services during the past year.
