WHAT INSPIRED IT?
LONDON, May 4. Herr Kiliani, ex-Consul-Gonoral, in an address to the Berlin Colonial Society, said that he did not believe that com- ' mercial jealousy inspired British hostil- ' it-y to the Germans. The real reason was hatred, and an exaggerated conception of British power and institutions, and the lack of appreciation of German j institutions. Great Britain Tiad created a splendid system and saw the new Germany beginning to accomplish the same , task.
