DROWNING ACCIDENT.
HOKITIKA, Mar. 23. Jas. Thompson, aged 19 years, second son of J. W. Thompson, harbourmaster ■at Okarito, lost his life on Friday at the Five Mile Creek. He* was taking stores up the creek in a boat, and on not [returning, search was made the next day. His body was found on Saturday afternoon in the creek.
