The health officer also reported the receipt of telegraphic advice from Kaikohe concerning another Maori case.
Another case of chickenpox was admitted to the district hospital to-day, the patient being a female European about 19, who had been residing at Ponsonbv.
The hospital superintendent stated this afternoon that the case was undoubtedly chickenpox. Dr Maguire said further that the other three patients who are suffering from chickenpox in the isolation wards, ov the hospital "are almost well.
It is estimated that fifteen thousand persons have been treated with lymph in and about Auckland sinco the rush for vaccination set in. No lymph came to hand from Wellington this morning, but another consignment is expected to arrive to-morrow morn/ing. Drisinfectmg has been carried on extensively in iall localities whore tho disea&o has occurred, and the doctors feel that a steam disinfecting plant would be an acquisition to Auckland. The sanitary department is preparing a report with the object of pointing out any building.-, in the city which should bo renovated or demolished, as a means of checking Jvc disease.
