MAN LOSES £100.

AUCKLAND BOARDING HOUSE SENSATION.

AUCKLAND, July 15. ■bornething of a sensation was" caused at the corner of Pitt Street and Karangahape Road .about 11 o'clock this morning, .when cries for help came from a man as he rushed out of a boardinghouse. The man was in a state of great excitement, and his face was smothered m blood. Ho declared that he had been robbed of £100, and indicated the direction m -which tho men had de-> camped. The police were immediately communicated with, and to Detective Holhs the man subsequently told his story. His name, ho said, was John King,.and he had recently come from Wellington.- At the boarding-house he had made the acquaintance-of two men.
