SENT AWAY
A good deal of h<Mn,p is now coming into the station, mnd during tihe past couplo of weeks 187 bales "(27 tons 3 owts.) have boon sent over the rails. As hemp is now selling at £33 10s a ton, the value of the out«nt is estimated at over £6000. Tn addition. 3806 sheep, of an estimated value of £2583, an 1 286 bales of wool, valued at £4290, fl-eve also foiwarded, so that in hemp, sheep and wool alone close, on £13,000 vorth was sent away for export purpo^GS, apart from 106 tons of cheese, accounted for in Patea's output, and ab-.ut £1000 worth of beef cattle.
