PAHIATUA'S GRIEVANCE
PAHIATUA^ Dec.^ 13. A meeting of Pahiatua citizens this afternoon vigorously refuted' the statements made to-day in an Eketahunia Press Association message, and reiterated the statements'(made in Pahiatua at Wednesday night's meeting. It was stated that the majority of the people of Pongaroa favour'the Piahiatua route, as proved by the rival petitions; also that the Postal Department's duty is to cater for existing, not speculative, population. The Pahiatua route is also shorter.
