According to figures published in. tonight's "Gazette" the areas of grain, root and (other crops sown or intended to'be sown in New Zealand this season include:—Wheat i 89,869, pats 386,786, barley 37,486, maize 4,683,. peas 19,649, rye grass 63,031, cocksfoot 34,007, cloy*. er 13,035, potatoes 23,480, turnips 439,----740, mangolds 19,326, rape 257,155.
