New"j! tank to -be supplied Long Acre, also 20ft. 6in. drain pipes. Payment autho-' rised for Rangataua: 60 yards metal and J grant of £10 for clearing increased to £15. Sanson granted £5 10s..additional for repairs io'outhouses and sheltershed. Board to pay cost (18s. lid.) for repairs to outhouse. Grant for fencing: at Horopito increased to £24 9s. lid., being half cost of ""work. The .Department asked for sketch plan of site and land (about l£ acres) adjoining the Wanganui East %chool site. Hammond waited on the Board in regard to the site for the Upokongaro school, anEf reported that owners would not sell land. Russell and Bignell, iwrote re the tiles for the Board office, and offered to pay difference in cost between the tiles obtained and the tiles ordered. —Agreed to. i The CKief Inspector recommended that the principal infant teachers be required to spend a week at Central Infanst Schools' expenses and fares to be paid by the Board.—Agreed to.
