FORTHCOMING MISSIONS.
VISIT OF THE REV. VALLANCE COOK. WANGANUI'S DATES. LONDON, Sept. 21. The first united Methodist conference for New Zealand, to be held at the beginning of next year, is to be signalised by a mission of inspiration and appeal. For this special work the services of a number of evangelists have been engaged, several of whom are going from Australia. The Dominion Methodists were anxious to have the services of an evangelist from the Old Country, and so it has been arranged that the Rev Vallance Cooke, of Clifton, shall be the English jmissioner. Passages for Mr and Mrs Cook have been booked by tho Orsova, which sails from London on tho 14th March next, j Mrs Cook, it may be explained, was ' one of the first lady representatives of the conference, and she possesses special gifts for work such as herself and her^ husband will be engaged in. Tho following is the itinerary arranged at present: Invercargill—May 6 to 14. Dunedin—May 17 to Juno 2.' Timaru—June 7 to 17. Chrivstchurch—June 21 to July 7. Wellington—July 12 to 28. Blenheim—August 9 to 19. Nelson —August 23 to Sent. 1. Napier—Sept. 0* to 16. Pahnerstan North—Sept. 20 to 30. Wanganui—Oct. 4 to 14. Auckland.—Oct. 18 to Nov 3
