LADY'S CROSS-CHANNEL FLIGHT
LONDON TO PARIS
LONDON, April 6
The first woman to make an aeroplane flight across the Channel was a lady whom the French airman, M. Gustave Hamel, carried as a passenger the other day.
M. Hamel loft Hemlon at 9.0 a.m., passed. Dover at 10.50. .and landed at Cape Gris-Nez, on the French coast, at noon.
After lunch the aviator and his plucky companion continued their journey to Paris, and finally landed in the suburb of Issv without mishap.
