:t GISBORNE, Juno 21. On .inquest was held to-day on,, the Maori Wairu. Tohirere, who >v.V:S killed by a trap accident at Makaraka (a suburb) last Saturday. night. The evidence, showed that the Maori, who was riding .fast in, an opposite direction, collided with a trap driven !\y Mv StOlair. 'File unfortunate man was impaled on the shaft- of the trap, whish penetrated his leg above the knee and came out above near the hip. V\ rbile hanging there head downwards he was badly kicked . and tram;pled by tht horse in-the'trap, and these injuries were chiefly responsible for his death.
