The nostponed meeting of the Dfotnetj High School Committee was held last. Monday night. Present .--Rev Griffin (chairman), l>r Warden, Messrs E Floyd. R. Carey, R. Kilgour, and A. Vvay. (secretary). The report of 'the Head School Excursion Sub-Commiittee "was read and adopted, votes of thanks being accorded Messrs Way and Train for their able management of the day's outing. The headmaster reported as follows.:— - Attendance.—There is still some irregularity, due principally to sieknes? in the primary department, where tho averag-pjittenclance is 258 out of a possible 277. The highest attendance on any one half day during the mouili v.-as 208- In the secondary department, the attendance is. on the whole, very good, the average being 29 out of a possible 32. For the whole school we have thus a total attendance of 237 out of a possible 309.

Roll.—The numbers on the roll \n each department are as follows: Primary, 136 boys and 139 girls; total, 275: secondary. 22 boys and 11 girls, -total o.S. Grand total for the whole school, SOS.

S'lhool Work.—Various re-nrnmoxl-n.ents of the classes that seemed desirable > have now been made, -and the year's work has, in general, been fairly undertaken.
