PRIMITIVE METHODIST ANNIVERSARY.

The annual celebrations in connection with the Primitive Methodist Church were continued last evening, when a very successful social and tea was held. There was a large attendance. Mr. J. Upton was chairman. The Secretary's report showed that there were 124 children on the Sunday School roll. During the year, 76 hail joined, but there was a decrease of nine, due, to the "floating population." Ten had become church members, and eight junior members.. The Christian Endeavour numbered 24, an increase of seven. The income had amounted to £43 4s lOd, and the expenses £44 2s 7d. The report showed a satisfactory state of affairs and expressed hope for the future.

Mr, John Jones, Mayor of Wanganui East, delivered a very instructive address to the pupils on Sunday School work.'

During the evening a fine programme was rendered and prizes distributed.
