STRUCK TROUBLE.

WELLINGTON, August 16. James Hen wood, an "old handy" well known, to the police, struck trouble this afternoon, Mrs Chaters, occupier of No. 8, Ghuznee Street, returned to her home at about 5.30, to find a man in her bedroom. He b:-lted, but Mrs Chaters pluckily gave chase: Constable Coles was near by, and joined in the pursuit, which was short and sharp, ending in the arrest of Honwood in Tarar.aki Street. On him is said to have been found a quantity of jewellery, and some money which Mrs Chaters found to be missing from her hous?.
