Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their skin sale held on Friday as Sollows:—

We offered a good catalogue to a full attendance of buyers, bidding was brisk for everything offered. The wool offering comprised mostly a medium selection of crutchings for which prices .showed a decline of about id per lb. Skins also were slightly easier, especially for inferior sorts. Green skins were in good demand our top price being Cs lOd for good butchers' skins. Hides held their own and realised last sales prices calfskins sold at Ojd. W Te quote:—

Wool.—Medium crossbred 6|d to 7d, good crutchings 5d to s£d, medium crutchings 4£d to 4|d, inferior and seedy 3^d to 4d, inferior pieces 3d to 3i|d. Skins.—Crossbred fine 7-|d, do. medium 7d, coarse G£d to Gfd, medium lambs 6^d, half-wools 53d, quarterwools 5-Jd, dead 5d to Sjd, crossbred short and damaged 3^d to ojd, pelts 4d to 4^d, butchers' half dry and green light 4s 2d to 3s 7d, heavier Cs 2d to '6s lOd.

Hides. —Heavy ox medium condition 6£d, medium ox 6d to 6 l-Bd, light ox s£d to s|d, heavy cows s|d, medium cows s^d to 5-£ d, good calf 9^d, medium 6£d to 7d, damaged o|d to 5 7-Bd. Tallow.—ln shipping order medium quality 22s 5d per cwt.

we had a very good yarding of sheep, and taken as a whola the entry was of particularly good quality. All classes of sheep showed a decided rise on the previous week's prices, and only one lino of sheep went out unsold. This was a particularly nice even lot of halfbred ewes, and were passed at auction id 15d id. There was a large general entry of cattle, but no straight lines of young steers came forward. Cows and* heifers met with a fair demand, but there was no :ippr<veiable alteration from last week's values. Quotations: —

Sheep. —Mixed lambs medium sorts to 9s, fat an.l forward ewes to 10s lid, forward wethers 12s 5d to 13s, fat wethers to 14s, mixed age ewes in lamb 12s 3<{ 4 ar.fi 5-year ewes in lamb 22s 7d to 13s 3d, 4 and 6-tooth ewes in lamb 13s ild.

Cattle.—Bulls to £3, forward heifers to £3 10s.
