The sales to-day were well attended by buyers, and bidding was brisk, but at a lower range of prices for crutchings. We estimate that prices for crutchings are lower by to £d per lb, due partly to adverse reports cabled concerning the Antwerp- sales and to limits for buying orders being reduced. Sheepskins sold well, but at slightly lower rates than last sale. Plides were rather easier. Calfskins sold up to 9 l-8d per lb. We quote:— Wool. —Crossbred fleeces 6id to 7d, do. inferior and seedy 4^d to Gd, lambs medium 6^d to ■ 6£d, crutchings good 4d to S^d, do. seedy and inferior 3^d to 4^d, locks and pieces 2£d to 4id. Sheepskins.—Crossbred fine 7d to 7^d, coarse s|d to 7d, lambskins 6Jd to 7d, dead and faulty 3d to sid, damaged pelts Id to 3d, good pelts 4d to 4|d, salted and damp skins 2s lOd to os 8d each.
Hides.—Ox medium s£d to 6d, light ox and cow 4|d to sd, yearlings 5 1-Sd to 5 7-Sd, faulty hides 2d to 4fd, calf eound B£d to 9 l-Bd, calf damaged 4d to 6gd
