OHAKUNE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
OHAKUNE, July Ist. A general meeting of the Ohakune Chamber of Commerce was held in the Town Hall last night, when there was a large attendance. The minutes of the previous meeting having been read and confirmed, the correspondence was dealt with.
Mr J. A. Butler havinc resigned as President and Mr A, H. Wilkie as secretary, and their resignations having been accepted with regret, it was necessary to fill these positions, which resulted as follows : —President and chairman, Mr A. H. Wilkie j secretary and treasurer, Mr Floyd. It was decided to write again re the northern train service from Olmkune to the proper authorities, and to arrani^e with the RaetUii Progressive Association as to a suitable date to meet to discuss the proposed route, of the branch railway line to Raetihi.
