FEILDING, July 2

At Kimbolt^n on Tuesdiy, on account of the bad weather, only a small entry camo forward. We quote: Empty ewes 7s lOd, small lambs 6s 4d, good mixed wcanor3 30s, springing cews £3 to £6 15s.

At Feilding on Friday a good entry of sheep and cattle met with keen competition, aU classes of cheep selling particularly well. We quote:— Sheep.—Cull ewes in lamb 5s 7d to 7s, forward owes 9s Id, s.m. ewes in lamb 13s 7d to 13s lid, shcrn lambs 9:3 Id to 10s 6d, woolly lambs 11s. Cattle.—2£-year steers £4 10s, 20----month steers £2 16s, yearling heifers 19s 6d to 295, 15-month steers 33s 6d, small weaners 12s, dairy cows £5 5s to £G ICs, fit heifers £5. cows in mi k £"5 S3, springing heifers £4 10^, forward cows £2 14s.

FIRE INSURANCE IN LONDON

All the fire insurance companies transacting business in the Administrative County of London must contribute* towards the expense of maintaining the Metropolitan Fire Brigade at tho rate of £35 nor million sterling of insurance.
