i At i-dur Wanganui sale on 30i:h u!t, tho yarding consisted of 2300 sheep and 240 head of cattle. The bulk of the sheep yarded were owes in lamb, for which there was a keen demand, all lines with the exception of one pen finding purchasers before the close of tho sate. Cattle were also in good demand, good wermers making top prices. ; The-*lairy cows sold on behalf of Messrs 'Leadbetter and Schmidt, although low in. condition and somewhat aged, realised the: satisfactory average of £5 2s, and all dairy classes show an advance on recenjt sales. We quote:— ."■ Sheep.'-—Fat ewes 9s 3d to 9s 9d, forward 2-tooth wethers (gocd) 12s 9d, medium ditto 11s 3d, 4 and 6-tooth and 4-year ewes in lanib 14s 3d, 4-^ear ewes in lamb 11s, mixed aged bwos 8s to 10.1 3d, inferior 4s 6d to 5s 2d, culls 2s 8d to 3s. gcod woolly lambs 10s, shorn lambs 7s 9d to Bs, aged Romney rams 7s 6d to 8s 6d.
Cattle;— Fat cows £5 2s, fat and forward heifers £3 10s 6d. forward bullocks (bad colours) £4 0s 6d. 2-year steers £2 13s to £3, poor ditto" £2, 2|-year steers £4, spoyed cows £3, store cows £2 3s 6d to £2 10s. 2-year empty •heifers £2 9s 6d, springing* heifers £o ss, mixed weantrs (good) 28s. weaner heifers £I.os 6d, othr-rs 12s 6d to 15s, bulk £2 12s Cxi to £3 13s.
Pigs.—Porkers 32s
Messrs Lradbetter and Schmidt's dairy cow«. -fr.--in £4 to £fi 2s 6d, 10 of them realising over £5 10s.
