The following is the Rev. D. C liates" general weather forecast: —Easterly winds, freshening from strong to gale, are probable north of the East Cape and Kawhia, with heavy rain shortly. Light and variable winds will probably prevail elsewhere for about 18 hours, with fair weather, after which increasing northerlies are expected. The barometer will probably fall in the extreme North first, and slowly elsewhere soon.
