NAVY LEAGUE.

(Per Press Association.)

CHRISTCHURCH, July 1

A women's meeting, held this afternoon under the a,nspices of the Ladies' Branch of the Navy League, was a striking testimony to the interest taken in the question of national defence. The various speeches were listened to with apparent interest, and the sentiments expressed were cordially applauded. A motion was passed in favour of universal military training.
