MARRIED v SINGLE.
The benedicts and bachelors tried conclusions on Cook's Gardens on Saturday. The Benedicts won the toss and compiled 96, to which Thompson (32) was chief contributor. The bachelors commenced their innings with F. Holland and Butterworth . The latter was in great form, and when F. Holland had gone for 17, he jwid C. Holland passed the Benedicts' total, the Bachelors thus winning with only one wicket down. Butterworth made a scientifically compiled century and retired. iC Holland for the Bachelors, and Luxford and W. B .Cave for the Benedicts were the most successful bowlers. It is to be hoped that this fixture may become an annual one. The thanks of the players are due to Mrs Dymock, who kindly provided afternoon tea.
