CONGRATULATIONS OF BROTHER EXPLORERS.
CHRISTCHURCH, March 28. The following message was received by Lieut. Shackleton to-day :—"Shackleton, commander Ninlrod, Christchurch.—Enthusiastic congratulations from International Polar Commission. —Cagni, Nordenskjold, Le Cointe, Buxelles." Cagni was captain of the Polar Star, the Duke of Abruzzi's ship, when he made the furthest north record before being beaten by a few miles by Peary. Nordenskjold in the well-known Swedish explorer on the side of the Antarctic immediately below South America. Le Cointe was one of the members of the Belgian Antarctic expedition, and is hon .secretary of the International Polar Commission.
