Tho Lord Mayor's appeal for a Dreadnousiht fund says the fact stands Tut that the!'Emp're is already weighted down with the cost of defence and maintenance, and it must face a largely increased expenditure to maintain its present impregnable position. The Empire's sons must assist, and New Zealand has nobly led the way.
