A BIG WIRELESS SCHEME.

SYDNEY, September 7
In connection with the cabled proposals to wirelessly link the Pacific Islands, the Australian representative oi the Amalgamated Poulson Radio Company, of London states that negotiations are proceeding with the •Governments of the various island interested; that the Commonwealth and New Zealand Governments are favourably disposed; and the various shipping companies have agreed to co-operate. ■
Should the company receive sufficient support a stai-t to instal the scheme will ,be made at New Year. It will .take.} twelve months to complete
