Canon Boyco's annual review of the drink traffic shows that the Bi 1 -for New South Wales for 1907 toU'lVd £5,200,744, . equal to £3 6s lid per head of the population, an increase of £552,068, or 5s Gd p^r head/ on t 1 « previous year.. He attributes', the increase to prosperous times. The convictions for Sunday/ drunkenness were 781, compared with 2318 for the year before the Local Option Bill became operative. Convictions for sly grog. Sunday, and after hours selling hava all decreased.
