OHRISTCHUROH, September 4 The ballot for lots 1 and 7 of the Culverden settlement, thrown up. by the successful applicants at the first ballot, took place to-day and resulted as follows:—Lot 1 (25 applicants), area 712 a«'es 1 rood, half-yearly rental £73 2s bd, Mrs Jane - -Popplewell, Raincliff, Pleasant Point; Lot 7 (21 applicants), area q lßo2 acres, half-yearly rental £113 Bs, Mrs Christina Clark, Hawarden. ...■.."■
