TO-NIGHT.

There is every probability of a crowded houoso at the Opera House to-night, when the Royal Pictures will give its first entertainment in Wanganui. A company which has been showing for nine consecutive months in Wellington must have merit in its entertainments much above the average. It is with such a reputation that the Royal Pictures come to Wanganui. The. 6ame programmes which are shown in the Empire City will be given on the new circuit established in this district, and the opening bill for to-night is said to be a sample of what is shown every week in "Wellington, and wliat will be shown at regular intervals in this town. To-night's bill includes the only picture in New Zealand of the American Fleet, showing the great line of battleships entering San Francisco. " Blue and Grey," an intensely absorbing dramatic picture; " The Franco-British Exhibition, " The Viking's Bride," " For a Crown," " The Tribulations of a Mayor," " Bewitched Boots," " Stop those Barrels," " Mr Hayseed's Bargain," " A Cold and Frosty Morning," and "" Grandfather's Pills." Miss Beatrice Butler, a New South Wales soprano singer, has been specially engaged and will contribute selected numbers.
